We are a drop off center for Active Tool Repair. If you are in need of service, you may drop your tool off at either of our locations. Active Tool Repair is located at 955 Barton St. E. in Hamilton.
Non Warranty Repairs
Small tool repair retail value less than $300.00
- An estimate fee $39.95 must be prepaid when the tool is left for repair. This fee will be applied towards the repair in the event that the tool is repaired. If the tool is not repaired the estimate fee is non-refundable and will be kept to compensate for time and disposal of scrapped material.
- Any repair that is under $100.00 will be repaired automatically and if the repair is over $100.00 (minor variances allowed up to 10%) we will call the customer for approval. All tools not repaired are returned disassembled.
Large tools retail value over $300.00
- An estimate fee $79.90 must be prepaid when the tool is left for repair. This fee will be applied towards the repair in the event that the tool is repaired. If the tool is not repaired the estimate fee is non-refundable and will be kept to compensate for time and disposal of scrapped material.
- Any repair that is under $150.00 will be repaired automatically, and if the repair is over $150.00 (minor variances allowed up to 10%) we will call the customer for approval. All tools not repaired are returned disassembled.
Industrial machinery (generators, industrial pressure washers, etc.)
Estimate cost will be time spent at shop rate due to the complicated nature of these machines.
Warranty Repairs
All warranty repairs are subject to manufacturer approval. In the event that warranty is not approved the non warranty repair policy will apply. All tools brought in for warranty repair must be accompanied with a proof of purchase.
Environmental Fee
All repairs (including warranty) will be subject to a $9.95 environmental fee to cover "green" disposal and recycling of old parts.
